Durban Discount Furniture removals was established in 1987. DDFR traded as a sole proprietor for 6 years before being registered as a close corporation in 1993.
DDFR started off as a single owner-driven truck and has grown during the years to a fleet of well-managed and maintained vehicles. We have a vehicle to accommodate your specific removal need.
DDFR is well established in the furniture removal industry, specializing in household and office removals. Our commitment and dedication in our more than 3 decades of moving experience has made us well recognized and trusted by many. We have probably done a move for someone you know.

About Us
DDFR is registered with the National Bargaining Council of the Road Freight Industry (NBCRFI). Our friendly team consists of drivers, supervisors, packers and loaders. Always attired in company uniform, the friendly team gives you a hassle free move from the time they arrive at your doorstep to the time they leave your new premises.
Insurance
We provide free, comprehensive transit insurance for fire, collision, overturning and hi-jacking.
All risk insurance can be arrangement with our Insurance Brokers.

Storage Facilities
- Our storage premises’ is situated in an industrial area – Springfield Park, security measures for secure storage include:
- Electrified perimeter fencing
- Computer controlled access via a dedicated personal tag which is kept at our offices
- 24 Hour CCTV surveillance via strategically located cameras
- Limited access to goods via prior arrangements with the office
Additional Services Offered
- Packing, wrapping, crating & strapping.
- We use double walled board cartons
- We use cushion-craft paper to cover all fragile items.
- Packing and unpacking of containers at our warehouse/client’s residence
- Supply of packing materials, cartons, white paper,tape,bubble plastic and shrinkwrap
